Terms of service

Last updated 21 August 2026

Plain language, and short enough to actually read before you launch a campaign.

Who these terms cover

Two different people use CampxStudio. A campaign owner buys a plan and sets up a campaign. A participant opens a campaign link and makes a poster. These terms apply to both, and where a clause applies to only one, it says so.

Plans, caps and refunds

Plans are one-time purchases covering a fixed validity window, not recurring subscriptions. The poster cap for your plan is stated on the pricing page and shown live in your dashboard. We will warn you at 80% and again at 95% of the cap.

If you exceed the cap, the campaign keeps working. We will contact you to arrange an add-on rather than silently shutting the campaign down mid-event. You will never receive an automatic overage invoice you did not agree to.

If you have not launched a campaign, you can request a full refund within seven days of purchase.

Your content

Campaign owners keep all rights to the artwork, logos and copy they upload. You grant us only the licence needed to host the campaign and generate posters from it.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload. Do not upload artwork, fonts, photographs or trademarks you are not licensed to use.

Acceptable use

Campaigns must not be used to harass or defame anyone, to impersonate a person or organisation, to spread material that is unlawful where the campaign runs, or to incite violence against any group.

We may suspend a campaign that breaches this. Where we can, we will contact the owner first; where the harm is immediate, we will suspend first and explain afterwards. A suspension for a genuine breach is not refundable.

Participants

If you make a poster, you confirm you have the right to use the photo you upload. Please do not upload someone else's photo without their agreement.

The poster you generate is yours to share. The campaign owner may use aggregate counts about participation, but the handling of your photo and your name is governed by our privacy policy, which limits it tightly.

Availability

Campaigns run on time-boxed events, so uptime during your window matters more than a yearly average. Campaign pages are served from the edge and poster generation happens in the participant's browser, which is what lets a campaign survive a sudden spike.

Enterprise plans carry a 99.9% uptime SLA with service credits. Other plans are provided without an SLA, though we hold ourselves to the same operational standard.

Liability

We provide the service with reasonable skill and care, but we cannot promise a campaign will reach a particular number of people. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the campaign in question.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes

If we make a material change to these terms, we will email campaign owners at least 30 days beforehand and keep the previous version available. We will not change terms retroactively for a campaign you have already paid for.
